Expectations and Outcomes

During this four hour course, you will familiarize yourself with your handgun. Firearms safety is emphasized as a primary topic throughout the course. You will become familiar with the parts and operation of a handgun. The fundamentals of shooting are covered; position, grip, breath control, sight alignment, trigger squeeze, and follow-through, which is the first step to developing consistent accuracy. This course is a basic through intermediate course that qualifies you to apply for a Nevada, Utah, Oregon "Concealed Carry Permit". This is also a good course for developing your fundamental shooting skills to protect yourself & your home, whether or not you plan to obtain a license. We will cover firearms safety, state firearms law, the proper mindset for defending yourself, the levels of awareness, cover & concealment and strategies to use during a violent attack. This is the most comprehensive CCW preparation course available to private citizens in Northeastern Oregon and the Tri-Cities, WA area.
