Description

Street Medicine Instructor Course

Why the Trilogy Street Medicine Course – If you are law enforcement, security, or other first responder, this is the course for you. It is taught by TCCC and TECC Instructors. You learn the essential first responder level skills including tourniquets, wound packing, hemostatics, and airway management. You DO NOT learn surgical airways, needle decompression, pharmacology, and blood products. Why waste your training time learning skills that you are not authorized to use and most likely would never encounter? We are all for training, and learning new skills, but the facts are simple. The Street Medicine Course is TCCC without ALS interventions. How do we know, WE TEACH TCCC. Read our evaluations, check out our client list. The choice is simple, STREET MEDICINE is for you!

This course is a Train the Trainer program for law enforcement officers, paramedics, fire, EMS, and all other public safety personnel. It is equally beneficial to school based security and classroom personnel, firearms instructors, and security officers. Completion of this Train the Trainer course authorizes the teaching and certification of the 1 day Street Medicine Course.

Successful Instructor Candidates will receive USB with all materials necessary to conduct training.

Based on TCCC Concepts this course provides the non-medical first responder the skills necessary to provide critical life saving intervention until EMS arrives. The student will complete a tactical medicine course integrated with instructor development training. This course builds upon the fundamentals of first aid and emergency care and introduces the latest concepts in emergency treatment. Upon successful completion the instructor will have the knowledge, tools, and resources to provide Tactical Medicine training to other law enforcement personnel within their agency or department.

Topics include: Advanced Airway Management, hemorrhage control including combat gauze and tourniquets, and recognition and treatment of shock. The Instructor Candidate will learn instructional techniques to maximize student learning, learn to present skill building sessions and scenarios, and lead fellow students through learning exercises and skill stations.

Training provided in this course is beneficial to all law enforcement personnel, public safety personnel, school personnel, concealed carry, and all others interested in an Active Shooter Response.
