Description
This class is designed to go over basic pistol safety and shooting. We will go over the anatomy of a pistol, firearm safety, cleaning, shooting basics and the legal aspect of carrying a firearm in Ohio and how to act during an act of self defense. This course will have classroom and shooting portions and meets the minimum requirements set out by the state to obtain your Concealed Handgun License in Ohio. Everything is included in the class but students are required to bring at least 50 rounds of ammo and food for their lunch. Our firearms are available to use for free during class just please bring 50 rounds of 9mm ammo with you if you are planning on using ours.
Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will have learned how to handle a pistol in a safe manner, gain a better understanding of how to fire a pistol, gain a better understanding of the legal use of force and earn a certificate that states they have been trained by Arocho Firearms to have meet the state requirements for their Ohio Concealed Handgun License.

Please bring a driver's license or state ID with you so we can match up your legal name to our certificates.
Requirements
Students are required to bring 50 rounds of ammunition that can be used in their pistol or 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition if they are using our firearms. Students are also asked to bring food and drinks with them for their lunch so that we can do a working lunch to speed up time.
