Description
This course is designed for those beginning their AR-15 training. While this a “beginners” class for use of a AR-15, many “experienced” shooters have benefited from our approach to firearms training which is based on the “defense of your life or other’s lives when confronted with a deadly encounter.” Subjects covered include; Firearms Safety, the cycle of operation, the proper equipment selection, ammunition/ballistics for multiple calibers, full size rifle, carbine and pistol variants, how to choose the AR-15 that works best for YOU specifically. We then guide you through proper and safe techniques used to carry, load/unload/reload and proper cleaning techniques and storage of your AR-15. (ROUND COUNT – 150 rounds)

Proof of US citizenship will be needed to attend the course
The instructor requires a copy of your driver's license once you register.

Equipment List
- A properly functioning carbine rifle
- At least 3 magazines (5 are recommended)
- 150-200 rounds of rifle ammunition
- Magazine Pouches for the magazines
- A quality sling
- Sharpie type pen for marking targets
- Pen and notepad for taking notes
- Hat or other head covering
- Gloves (recommended but not mandatory)
- Knee and elbow pads
- Eye and ear protection
- Footwear that you can stand in all day (boots are highly recommended)
- Sunscreen or raingear (as applicable) (The course will go rain or shine)
- Enough water supply to sustain you for the day
- A lunch or snack food (We will not have time to leave the range for lunch)
