Description
This is an awesome class for Women who are wanting to learn the Basics of Firearms. There is a 1 hour live fire portion to this class that will be held after the classroom portion on a separate date. Typically, the live fire is held the following week or weekend for 2 hours at Great Guns in Nunn, CO. There is a $20 range fee in addition to the course fee. This class does meet the qualifications to receive your Colorado CCW permit. I will work with you to schedule the live fire portion.
Topics Covered
With three distinct modules, this course is designed for those who are brand new to firearms and those who are ready to learn more about defensive shooting.
Basics and fundamentals will be introduced, reviewed, and then built upon, while also exploring:
- Situational awareness
- Common types of handguns
- Ammunition types, malfunctions
- Firearms handling skills
- Defensive pistol fundamentals
- The use of deadly force
Whether you’ve never touched a firearm, you’re looking for the next steps in your training, or you’ve chosen to learn about the skills, tools, and mindset needed to use firearms for self-defense, you can be prepared to carry confidently every day with tips and techniques from experienced women in the world of firearms.

Requirements
No firearms for the classroom portion. Just bring a notebook, snacks and water. We will discuss the live fire portion during class. It will be scheduled for a different time.
