Hybrid LTC (DPS 1.0)

Description

The Hybrid LTC class take the requirements to apply for your Texas LTC and takes it up a notch. If you are looking for that "ok, now what" class, THIS IS IT.  This is a 3/4 day class with the morning session focusing entirely on using your handgun in a fight. This IS a learn to shoot class.  In addition to covering the fundamentals of shooting we will go more in depth on the use of deadly force and how to apply it. We will also be doing drills all throughout the morning to help you become for confident and competent with your handgun. Range topics covered will be: Where to shoot, when to shoot, marksmanship fundamentals, reloads, clearing malfunctions, situational awareness, common myths and misconceptions regarding handguns. The first session will wrap up with the LTC 50 round handgun qualification.  We will concluded the class with the 25 questions multiple choice test required by the state. You will start to see towards the end of the class how everything ties together and you will walk away educated, confident, competent and have the paperwork necessary to get your LTC. Please join me in taking responsibility for your own protection.
The student will arrive to the range session having already watched the provided videos and followed allong with the handout.

Students will be able to safely handle and shoot to the minimum requirements expected by the state to obtain their LTC.  They will also receieve the necessary paperwork showing completion of the LTC class needed to apply for their license with the state

Students are required to bring $20 cash for range fees unless the range fee is selected as an add on

Requirements

A Reliable Pistol that you plan on carrying. Semi-automatic preferred (rental pistols are available if needed)

Minimum of 2 magazines, (3 is preferred) for your semi-automatic firearm.

100 rounds of pistol ammo.  This is a conservative amount.  I have ammunition available for purchase if needed for a competitive price.  If you are borrowing one of our pistols select the "handgun rental" option.  Doing will will provide you with the handgun, ammunition and magazines needed for the class
