Description

Once students have received foundational handgun training and know how to safely handle a handgun, it’s time to learn how to shoot.

 

PREREQUISITES

 We strongly recommend Handgun 101 or equivalent before you attend Handgun 102. The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun as well as have demonstrated competence in working from a holster and performing reloads.

The FBI handgun qualification is a well known standard demonstration of handgun proficiency. FBI agents are plain clothed and carry concealed, the situations where they use their guns are very similar to the situations that the average armed citizen might experience. We will help you develop the skills needed to pass the the FBI Shooting Qualification. If you can pass the test with a perfect score you will take home our FBI Challenge Coin!

EQUIPMENT LIST

 

  • Quality functional semi-automatic pistol – Full size and compact pistols only
  • 3 magazines minimum
  • Quality holster that attaches to the belt- Nylon/Serpa holsters are not allowed
  • Magazine pouch
  • Sturdy belt
  • Clothing suitable for training in any weather, pants must have belt loops
  • Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
  • Ear/Eye protection
  • 300 rounds of ammo

DURATION: Class runs from 12pm to 4pm

LOCATION: PRIVATE RANGE IN CINCINNATI, OHIO

*Refunds will only be made if a class is cancelled by us. If a student cannot attend the class they signed up for, they will be given a full credit to another class of comparable value. No-shows without prior notice will not be given any such credit.

Class transfer credit will only be done for one class transfer maximum

Documentation Requirements

This course is Step 2 of 3 in our foundational handgun training series. We strongly recommend  Handgun 101 or equivalent before you attend Handgun 102. The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun.

Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.


OUR CLASSROOM IS LOCATED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY, LOCATED DIRECTLY BEHIND JOHN WESLEY METHODIST CHURCH. FOLLOW THE DIRT ROAD TO THE LAST HOUSE AT THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY. THE CLASSROOM IS LOCATED INSIDE OF THE GREEN BARN. PLEASE FOLLOW THE PARKING SIGNS.


When you arrive to the range PLEASE do not remove your gun from your holster/bag until told to do so.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

 

  • You will need 300 rounds of fmj ammo
  • Daily carry or duty weapon
  • Sturdy belt with quality holster- holster must attach to belt
  • 3 magazines or more
  • Magazine pouch
  • Ear/Eye protection
  • water
  • Black Sharpie
  • PANTS WITH BELT LOOPS

Lawn chair
Insect repellent
Notebook
Pen or pencil
Cleaning Kit
Rain Gear
Hat
Shirt with collar
Towel or Shemagh
Waterproof boots
Spare Clothes
Hearing Aides (if applicable)
Cooler with water and electrolyte drinks
Gloves
NSAID – Ibuprofen, Naproxen
IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit)

PLEASE carry all firearms in accordance with Ohio Law. We will give you an opportunity to swap out your
carry ammo with practice ammo at the start of class and swap them back at the end of class, if needed.
Please do not attempt to swap out ammo on your own. You must have an instructor with you up on the
designated firing line. ABSOLUTELY NO HANDLING OF WEAPONS BEHIND THE DESIGNATED FIRING
LINE AND WITHOUT AN INSTRUCTOR PRESENT.
