Women Only CCW Course

Description

The Women-Only Multi-State Carry Permit Course has no prerequisites and is designed for women shooters of all levels and experience.

The course goes beyond the state requirements to ensure you are safe and prepared to carry your firearm. Our female instructor provides a female’s perspective for carrying in a non-intimidating environment.

The class will begin with learning to live aware of your surroundings in order to avoid conflicts, and to give yourself time to ensure you know how to safely and legally respond to a violent encounter. We will then review firearm safety and the fundamentals of defensive shooting.

Next the class will thoroughly discuss the process to apply for your carry permits, all of the legal aspects of carrying your firearm, the legal requirements for use of force and lethal force, the physiological effects you experience during a violent encounter and finally how to interact with law enforcement after an encounter.

Expectations and Outcomes

successful completion of this class will result in student receiving certificate of competency to provide to the sheriff for ccw.

• DO NOT BRING A LOADED FIREARM INTO THE CLASS, LEAVE IT LOCKED IN YOUR VEHICLE.

Requirements

• PLEASE ARRIVE TO CLASS 15 minutes early for registration.
  
  
• please do not wear open toed shoes on the range.
  
  
• Dress appropriately for the weather, you will be on the range for 2 hours.
  
  
• Bring pen and paper for note taking
  
  

• We will provide you with a .22LR pistol and ammo. If you would like to use your own gun you will need at least 50 rounds for your shooting qualification. We do not SALE ammo

PLEASE carry all firearms in accordance with Ohio Law. We will give you an opportunity to swap out your
carry ammo with practice ammo at the start of class and swap them back at the end of class, if needed.
Please do not attempt to swap out ammo on your own. You must have an instructor with you up on the
designated firing line. ABSOLUTELY NO HANDLING OF WEAPONS BEHIND THE DESIGNATED FIRING
LINE AND WITHOUT AN INSTRUCTOR PRESENT.
