About 1791 Training

Deron Boring, J.D., is an instructor with 35 years of experience teaching adults and an extensive background in leadership training, instructor development, and the law.  He also serves as an adjunct professor who has experience teaching undergraduate and graduate-level law and government courses. He also has 15+ years of experience teaching firearms law, self-defense law, firearm safety, handgun basics, home safety, CCW classes, and more.

Classes & Presentations:

Law Courses
We offer customized courses presented by a licensed attorney on Ohio CCW law, Ohio Firearms Law, and Ohio Deadly Force/Self-Defense Law.

We also offer legal presentations to local clubs and small groups, including churches, realtors' associations, or private classes for your family and friends.

Any course can be customized to fit your small group or individual needs, including single-day courses, evening courses, or courses split into units at your request.

Firearms Courses
Our private CCW courses will exceed Ohio requirements. Additional firearms courses include handgun basics, defensive handgun, and advanced defensive handgun usage.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least seven (7) days prior for a refund minus credit card processing fee of $6.50.  All cancelations within 7 days will result in a credit for a future class.

The only way we can know that a class is full is when students register and pay their fees.

Once a class is full, we have to turn away other students who would like to attend. If you cancel at the last minute, or fail to show up, you potentially keep other students from attending and cost us a student.

Please be sure you can attend a class before registering.  To secure a slot in a course full payment is required unless otherwise specified.

Reschedule Policy

In the event that the instructor needs to reschedule the class, all course fees will be refunded within 14 days.
