Description
Learn the basics of effective pistol operation. This course focuses on the fundamentals all shooters must master to hone their skills. Students must bring the following to class:
- striker or hammer fired semiautomatic pistol
- 100 rounds of ammunition
- holster for their pistol (concealed or external)
- good attitude & willingness to learn
- eye and ear protection

Safety fundamentals
Mindset/leagal/moral/ethical issues
Pistol operation and nomenclature
Loading/unloading
Grip/stance/sight alignment/sight picture
Draw stroke/pistol presentation
Live fire - variety of drills
Expectations and Outcomes
Competency and confidence to begin shooting at a high level. Students will understand the issues involved with carrying a weapon and the use of said weapon.
Students will learn to properly draw, grip, present and put accurate rounds on target.
