Description
This course is designed to give new users an understanding of the safe handling, operation and function, cleaning and maintenance of AR-15 style rifles. This is a classroom only instruction, that familiarizes students with the history, nomenclature, and safe operation of the AR-15, and allows them to get hands on with these types of weapons, to learn basic clearing, loading, unloading, field stripping, and is designed as a first step to help students prepare for the AR-15 Fundamentals class.

Expectations and Outcomes
At the end of this course, students will have a basic understanding of the functions, and safe handling & operation of AR-15 type rifles. This is a great first step to prepare students for the AR-15 Fundamentals live fire course.
