Description
Learn to manage worst case scenarios! This course will cover injured shooter techniques, including drawing, reloading, clearing malfunctions, and engaging targets one handed only, with both strong & support hand. We will also cover movement, use of cover, as well as emergency traumatic injury care, including application of tourniquets, wound packing, and evacuating injured. MUST be able to demonstrate safe gun handling and all gun manipulations comfortably without assistance in order to participate.
Topics Covered
This course will cover techniques for injured performance, including drawing, reloading, clearing malfunctions, and engaging targets one handed with both stong & support hand only, movement, use of cover, & emergency trauma management including tourniquet applications, would packing, and moving injured casualties to safety.
Expectations and Outcomes
At the end of this course, participants will gain confidence in the techniques needed to stay in the fight and operate their firearm one handed only in the event of injury. They will also gain the knowledge & skills necessary to provide immediate & essential life sustaining emergency medical treatment for traumatic injuries to themselves or others.

Requirements
What to Bring:
- Appropriate range attire (closed toed shoes, no v-neck or tank top shirts)
- Eye/ear protection (electronic preferred)
- Pistol in good working order
- High quality concealment or open carry holster (appendix or strong side carry) with appropriate belt. No shoulder holsters, collapsable belly band, “Uncle Mike’s” or “Serpa” style holsters. A good kydex holster is preferred.
- 2-3 additional magazines/magazine carrier
- Ammunition (300 rounds)
- CAT Tourniquet (if you have one-if not we will suppy)
- Knee pads (recommended)
- Note-taking materials
- Water/beverage
- Plan to bring your lunch. We will take a lunch break, but will not have time to leave the range area and there are no lunch options nearby
