Description

This course will cover essential techniques & concepts for dealing with near contact distance & entangled gunfights. Topics include retention & close distance shooting, weapon retention, controlling the clinch, and earning the draw, & handgun disarms.

This course will include both live fire & simunition training. There will be moderate physical contact.

Learn to safely access your weapon in extreme close quarters situations, how to safely break contact from clinching ranges to effectivey deploy your weapon, and how to prevent gun grabs and retain your weapon, both in and out of the holster.  We will also cover unarmed handgun disarms and defenses.

This course will include live fire from close contact & retention distances, controlling & safely disengaging from the clinch, deploying your firearm in entangled situations, earning the draw, preventing gun grabs & weapon retention in and out of the holster, and unarmed handgun defenses & disarms.

By the end of the course, students will have a better understanding of the dynamics involved in gun fights from extreme close distances, and have developed techniques & tactics to give them the best opportunity for a successful outcome.

What to Bring:

  • Appropriate Range Attire (closed toed shoes, no tank tops, v-neck shirts)
  • Eye & Ear Protection (electronic preferred)
  • Semi-Automatic Pistol w/At Least 2-3 Magazines
  • At Least 250 Rounds of Reliable Ammunition
  • High Quality Concealment or Open Carry Holster (appendix or strong side carry only; holster MUST accomodate one handed re-holstering)
  • Notebook/Pen
  • Water/Beverage
  • Inert Training Weapons will be provided
