Topics Covered
2108.8 Pre-assignment training shall include at least 24 hours of training generally relating to
the security officer's duties and specifically including:
(a) Terrorism awareness, including building evacuation, unattended packages, and unknown substances;
(b) Emergency procedures, including evacuation and first-aid; and
(c) Customer service and interaction with tourists.

Expectations and Outcomes
After completing our training course Archangel will sponsor the students. This will allow the students to receive their SO license.
Archangel does not guarantee employment with any of our permits or courses. Our sponsorship is intended to be temporary, as many employers desire their students to have their permits ahead of time despite the fact that a sponsoring employer is required for the application itself. When we receive notification of available contracts, the information is dispersed out to all students equally with the expectation that you will be putting in your own effort to reach out and make contact with prospective employers.

This is a self-paced, online class. Do not report to our office or expect a Zoom link for the training itself.
To receive your Sponsorship Letter, please follow these steps:
Complete the course by watching all required videos and obtaining a separate certificate for each video.
Email all 21 certificate to admin@archangeldc.com Your sponsorship letter will be emailed bake to you at that time.

Online DC SO Pre-Assessment Course
You can now take the DC SO Pre-assessment course at your own pace from home.
Accessibility: Available on various devices (PC, Mac, or tablet).
Features: User-friendly and easy to navigate.
Completion: Upon successful completion, you will be able to download a certificate.
SET UP ACCT
When you set up your account you must put in your email you will receive a certificate after each lesson. The acct will ask for the security agency name. Archangel Training Academy. You must email each certificate to admin@archanheldc.com by the first day of training. If we do not receive the certificates you will noy receive a sponsorship letter.

Once you log in, you just click on your account, and "Click here to go to videos' '. Students have fourteen (14) days from the day they register for class to complete all required videos

2. Online License Application
You must apply for your Occupational & Professional License online through the Access DC portal.
Access Portal: Access DC (You must create an account if you do not have one.)
Application Steps:
Create an Access DC account (if needed).
Go to Occupational & Professional License.
Click Profile (at the top of the page).
Click Apply for New License.
3. Required Application Items
Gather the following documents for your online application:
Non-expired License or State ID.
Birth certificate or non-expired passport.
Proof of Affiliation: Must be affiliated with an active licensed Security agency (Archangel Training Academy is your agency).
Confirmation Receipt of Payment Application.
Notarized Arrest Affidavit (including court dispositions for any prior arrests).
Notarized Authorization to Release Information Form.
Fingerprinting receipt.
If there are prior arrest, you must have disposition from the courts showing the outcome of charges

Requirements
After completing the security course students will have to come to our office to pick up a certificate of completion, (Certificate will not be mailed) sponsorship letter, list of companies who hire students who completed the course. Students must bring their government ID.
2102.3 To be eligible to be certified as a security officer, an applicant must.
(a) Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
(b) Either be a United States citizen or have in his or her possession valid
Immigration and Naturalization Service work permit; and
(c) Be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
2105 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS - CRIMINAL HISTORY
2105.1 No person shall be certified or employed as a security officer, nor shall an existing.
security officers have his or her certification renewed, until the mayor has conducted a
criminal history check of the applicant through the record systems of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation and the Metropolitan Police Department.
2105.2 In evaluating an application for a security officer certification, the mayor shall.
consider:
(a) An applicant's conviction history.
(b) Any court finding of the applicant's mental incompetence that has not been
removed or expunged.
(c) An applicant's history of criminal traffic offenses.
(d) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense for which the person was previously
convicted will have on his or her fitness or ability to perform one or more.
duties or responsibilities of a security officer.
(e) The time that has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or
court finding of mental incompetence.
(f) The age of the applicant at the time of the occurrence of the criminal offense
or court finding of mental incompetence.
(g) The frequency and seriousness of the criminal offense; and
(h) Any information produced by the applicant, or produced on his or her behalf,
regarding his or her rehabilitation and good conduct since the occurrence
of the criminal offense or court finding of mental incompetence.
