The 16-hour curriculum provides the confidence required in pursuit of a professional career in the Security Industry.
This security training course is designed for those who are beginner students looking to become Security officer. familiarize themselves with the uniform and equipment, De-escalation procedures, Customer service and interaction with tourists etc. Upon completion of this course students will gain the certification needed in order to obtain the District of Columbia Unarmed Security officer license.
This course includes classroom instruction to discuss the policy on being a security officer. All of this is followed by a written examination,

2108.8 Pre-assignment training shall include at least 24 hours of training generally relating to
the security officer's duties and specifically including:
(a) Terrorism awareness, including building evacuation, unattended packages, and unknown substances;
(b) Emergency procedures, including evacuation and first-aid; and
(c) Customer service and interaction with tourists.

Expectations and Outcomes
After completing our training course Archangel will sponsor the students. This will allow the students to receive their commission (SO license). Must training academies DO NOT sponsor. This means after completing their training program you will NOT be a license officer. You will have to go find sponsorship in order to receive your commission.
Archangel does not guarantee employment with any of our permits or courses. Our sponsorship is intended to be temporary, as many employers desire their students to have their permits ahead of time despite the fact that a sponsoring employer is required for the application itself. When we receive notification of available contracts, the information is dispersed out to all students equally with the expectation that you will be putting in your own effort to reach out and make contact with prospective employers.

2108.9 Security officers shall satisfactorily complete a 16-hour, on-the-job training course
within ninety (90) working days following employment, and an 8-hour annual inservice training course.
After completing your sixteen (16) hour training course please follow the below steps. Please do not call and ask what are your next steps.

Refund Policy
*TERMS AND CONDITIONS - All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date unless notice of cancellation is 7 days or more of the scheduled course. Payments are able to be transferred to another individual, however the cancellation policy will still apply and it's upon the purchaser to notify Archangel Training Academy in advance of the change.
Archangel Training Academy reserves the right to reschedule any course date due to the minimum amount of scheduled customers not being met, all deposits will be held for a future course date to be determined by Archangel Training Academy.
Requirements
After completing the security course students will have to come to our office to pick up a certificate of completion, (Certificate will not be mailed) sponsorship letter, list of companies who hire students who completed the course. Students must bring their government ID.
Requirement For Zoom Course.
All students must always be seen on the screen. While in class students cannot be.
(a) Cooking
(b) Driving
(c) Smoking Marijuana
(d) Watching tv
(e) Sleeping
(f) Walking to store / picking up or dropping off kids to school etc.
(g) Doing your hair
Any students who are doing anything besides participating in class will be removed from class. Any students who disappear from the screen for more than 10 minutes will be removed from the class. Any students removed from class will not be let back in and a refund will not be issued.
2102.3 To be eligible to be certified as a security officer, an applicant must.
(a) Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
(b) Either be a United States citizen or have in his or her possession valid
Immigration and Naturalization Service work permit; and
(c) Be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
2105 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS - CRIMINAL HISTORY
2105.1 No person shall be certified or employed as a security officer, nor shall an existing.
security officers have his or her certification renewed, until the mayor has conducted a
criminal history check of the applicant through the record systems of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation and the Metropolitan Police Department.
2105.2 In evaluating an application for a security officer certification, the mayor shall.
consider:
(a) An applicant's conviction history.
(b) Any court finding of the applicant's mental incompetence that has not been
removed or expunged.
(c) An applicant's history of criminal traffic offenses.
(d) The bearing, if any, the criminal offense for which the person was previously
convicted will have on his or her fitness or ability to perform one or more.
duties or responsibilities of a security officer.
(e) The time that has elapsed since the occurrence of the criminal offense or
court finding of mental incompetence.
(f) The age of the applicant at the time of the occurrence of the criminal offense
or court finding of mental incompetence.
(g) The frequency and seriousness of the criminal offense; and
(h) Any information produced by the applicant, or produced on his or her behalf,
regarding his or her rehabilitation and good conduct since the occurrence
of the criminal offense or court finding of mental incompetence.
*** The following below extra fees are charged by DC government or other entities that are not included in your course tuition. After you complete your training, you are responsible for the following fees:
$99.00 fee made payable to DC government for your SO application.
$35.00 fee made payable to DC Treasurer for your fingerprint/background investigation.
$80.00 fee made payable to Meto Lab drug/physical test company for your drug test.
$69:00 fee made payable to PSI for security test.
