This class is designed to teach the knowledge, skills, and attitude to navigate the NRA Instructor website and teaching methods.
Must take within 2 years of each added NRA Instructor rating.
- Knowledge skills and attitude to meet the requirements to teach the NRA Basic Pistol course.
Expectations and Outcomes
Students must pass the written exam (90% or higher) and must subjectively be determined to handle a firearm safely and have the proper attitude for an NRA Instructor credential.
Students are NOT guaranteed to pass the course.

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

Special Gear Requirements for this class:
At least 200 rounds of ammunition. Otherwise, use NRA Pistol gear list and general gear list as a base.
We EXPECT you to have your own serviceable pistol at the instructor level.
If you need to use one of our pistols and ammunition, please let us know in advance. Based on availability.
