Florida Concealed Carry & Firearms Safety – Group Hybrid Class

Looking to learn more about Florida concealed carry laws and complete the firearms training needed to apply for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License?

This hybrid course combines convenient, live online classroom instruction with an individually scheduled, in-person live-fire qualification.

During our Zoom classroom session, we'll review fundamental firearm safety, responsible gun ownership, Florida concealed carry laws, the licensing process, and important legal considerations related to self-defense.

After completing the classroom portion, students will schedule a brief, instructor-supervised range appointment to demonstrate safe firearm handling and basic shooting competency.

COURSE FORMAT

• Classroom: 2 hours of live, interactive instruction via Zoom
• Live-Fire Qualification: Approximately 30 minutes, scheduled individually at Gun World of South Florida
• Skill Level: Open to students of all experience levels. Students without shooting experience are strongly encouraged to schedule a private lesson in conjunction with their qualification.
• Tuition: $80 per student, including one live-fire qualification and range fees

LIVE-FIRE QUALIFICATION & SCHEDULING

Students must complete their in-person live-fire qualification within 14 calendar days of attending the Zoom classroom session. Appointments are scheduled individually, subject to instructor and range availability.

The initial range qualification and range fees are included in tuition. Firearm use and eye and ear protection are available at no additional charge.

Ammunition is not included. Students may bring their own appropriate factory-manufactured ammunition or purchase 25 rounds from B2 Defense Training for $12. Students using a B2-provided handgun must purchase their ammunition from B2 Defense Training.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This course is open to students of all experience levels. The Zoom classroom session covers firearm safety, responsible ownership, Florida concealed carry laws, and the licensing process.

The live-fire qualification is a supervised demonstration of safe firearm handling and basic shooting competency. It does not include introductory shooting instruction.

Students without shooting experience are strongly encouraged to schedule a private lesson in conjunction with their qualification to learn fundamental shooting skills.

The qualification may be incorporated into a separately scheduled private lesson by prior arrangement. Additional lesson fees apply.

FLORIDA CONCEALED CARRY TRAINING

Students who successfully complete both the Zoom classroom instruction and live-fire competency demonstration will receive a certificate documenting qualifying firearms training for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License application.

No certificate will be issued without successful completion of both the classroom session and live-fire qualification. Attendance at the Zoom session alone does not qualify a student to receive a certificate.

Certificate issuance does not guarantee approval of a Florida license. Licensing eligibility and approval are determined by the State of Florida.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

Tuition is $80 per student and includes the two-hour live Zoom classroom session, one individually scheduled live-fire qualification, and applicable range fees.

Full payment is required at registration. Tuition is nonrefundable, except where required by law or when B2 Defense Training cancels the class and cannot provide an acceptable alternative.

Students must complete their live-fire qualification within 14 calendar days of the Zoom classroom session, subject to instructor and range availability.

Ammunition, additional shooting instruction, and repeat qualification attempts are not included in tuition and may require additional fees.

Expectations and Outcomes

By the end of the two-hour Zoom classroom session, students will have gained a better understanding of firearm safety, responsible ownership, Florida concealed carry laws, and the licensing process.

Students will then complete an individually scheduled live-fire qualification to demonstrate safe firearm handling and basic shooting competency under instructor supervision.

Students who successfully complete both components will receive a certificate documenting qualifying firearms training for a Florida Concealed Weapon or Firearm License application.

This course is not designed to teach students how to shoot or develop defensive handgun skills. Additional instruction is available through B2 Defense Training's private lessons and other training programs.

Completion of this course does not guarantee approval of a Florida concealed carry license.

CLASSROOM REQUIREMENTS

• Reliable internet connection
• Device with Zoom audio and video capability
• Ability to participate in the live, interactive classroom session
• Valid government-issued photo ID

LIVE-FIRE QUALIFICATION

Students must have sufficient prior handgun experience to safely:

• Load and unload a handgun
• Demonstrate that a firearm is clear
• Follow range commands and safety procedures
• Handle and fire a handgun safely
• Demonstrate basic shooting competency

• Safe, functional handgun (personal or B2-provided)
• 25 rounds of appropriate factory-manufactured ammunition
• Shooting-rated eye protection
• Hearing protection
• Closed-toe shoes
• Crew-neck or high-neckline shirt

FIREARMS & AMMUNITION

Students may bring their own firearm and appropriate factory-manufactured ammunition.

B2 Defense Training handguns are available at no additional charge. Students using a B2-provided handgun must purchase their ammunition from B2 Defense Training. The required 25 rounds cost $12.

Eye and ear protection are available at no additional charge.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION

This course does not include shooting lessons. Students who need additional training may arrange a private lesson for an additional fee.

The qualification may be completed during an eligible private lesson by prior arrangement.
