Whether you’re brand new to shooting or you’ve only been out once or twice and want a solid foundation, this program is designed for you.

JOIN US for a Ladies-Only First Shots® Introductory Range Class, where you’ll receive professional, instructor-led guidance focused on firearm safety, safe handling, and basic operation. This structured experience blends classroom instruction with supervised, introductory live-fire range time—providing a clear, supportive starting point without pressure or intimidation.

Presented by the Broward County Chapter of A Girl & A Gun, in partnership with Gun World of South Florida, B2 Defense Training, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation First Shots® Program, this session offers a supportive, no-pressure learning environment where questions are encouraged and safety always comes first.

If you’ve been curious about shooting but didn’t know where to start, this is your opportunity to learn in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment, designed specifically for women.

This ladies-only class is perfect for you if...

• You’re a beginner (new or starting over)
• You feel nervous or hesitant about shooting
• You’ve never fired a firearm before
• You tried shooting but felt overwhelmed or unsure
• You’re curious about shooting and prefer professional guidance over trial-and-error

What is included in the course fee?

• .22 LR semi-auto handgun rental (for class use only)
• .22 LR ammunition (for class use only)
• Basic eye and hearing protection rental

• Participants must be 13 years of age or older

The $30 registration fee is non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, credit may be applied toward a future First Shots® session with B2 Defense Training / the Broward County Chapter of A Girl & A Gun, at the organizer’s discretion.

Topics Covered

• Firearm safety fundamentals, including the four rules of safe gun handling
• How to load and unload a semi-automatic pistol
• Basic firearm components and function of a semi-automatic handgun
• Fundamentals of grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control
• Supervised live-fire range time with a .22LR semi-auto pistol

Documentation Requirements

Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID
(Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, state-issued ID card, or military ID.)

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
