Description

This 16 hour course meets the state of California and Arizona CCW training requirements.

Course fee is $250.00 including range fee.

This is a two day class for your initial ccw permit. 

Day one is classroom.
Saturday at 0900 we will meet at Capital Direct Lending office, 6524 Lonetree Rd., Rocklin.
Please bring your own lunch, snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.

Day Two is range and classroom.
Sunday at 0900 we will meet at Laguna Shooting Center, 2220 Kausen Dr., Elk Grove.
Following range we will return to the classroom at Capital Direct Lending.

Expectations and Outcomes

Prepare you to obtain your CCW Permit by providing the required basic legal, personal and firearm knowledge.

Provide you an opportunity to demonstrate minimum firearm safety and marksmanship skills during a qualification course of fire.

Introduce the three greatest risks you may be exposed to following a critical incident.

Introduce proper handgun safety.

Introduce proper handgun drawing, presentation and reholstering.

Introduce proper handgun shooting fundamentals

Requirements

Note: the weapon you are qualifying with must be registered with CA DOJ and registered in YOUR name.

  • Rounds per weapon
    • Placer County - 100 rounds per weapon
    • Sacramento County - 150 rounds per weapon
    • Yolo County - 150 rounds per weapon
  • Cleaned and Oiled Handgun
  • Ear Protection (preferable electronic)
  • Eye Protection
  • Recommended but not required:
    • Leather gun belt
    • Leather or kydex (strong –side only) outside belt or inside the waistband Holster. Note: the holster MUST cover the trigger and trigger guard.
    • Serpa Style Holster not allowed.
    • Three magazines or speed loaders

Ammunition must be commercially manufactured, and the same caliber as the firearm.  Range ammo is acceptable.

The qualifying course of fire is determined by the county of which you are applying for a permit.
