Ready Rifle 1: Build · Move · Shoot is a practical, reality-based rifle course designed for armed citizens and responsible rifle owners who want real-world skill, confidence, and control. This full-day training blends classroom instruction with dynamic live-fire drills that emphasize rifle setup, safe handling, movement and shooting fundamentals, target transitions, malfunctions, and shooting on the move. Students will walk away with improved rifle handling, tactical movement basics, and the confidence to apply their skills in defensive or emergency scenarios.

Rifle safety and range etiquette for dynamic training
Building and tuning your rifle platform for reliability and ergonomics
Fundamentals of accurate shooting: grip, shoulder position, breathing, and trigger control for rifles
Moving and shooting: footwork, transition, and shooting from movement/stabilized positions
Malfunction clearing and immediate action under stress
Magazine changes and reload drills for speed and reliability
Target transitions and prioritization in dynamic scenarios
Introductory use of optics and zero-verification for red dot/iron sights
After-action review and structured progression plan for continued skill development
Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of Ready Rifle 1, students will:
Demonstrate safe, confident rifle handling in static and dynamic drills
Execute basic movement and shooting techniques with improved control and accuracy
Perform efficient magazine changes and basic malfunction clearances under time pressure
Understand how to set up and tune a personal rifle platform for reliability and ergonomics
Receive a Ready Rifle 1 Certificate of Completion documenting training hours and covered topics — a useful credential for continuing training pathways.

Documentation Requirements
Students must present a valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, or State ID) at check-in. Registered students will receive a confirmation email with private range directions, class schedule, required gear checklist, and safety briefing prior to class. If you carry a formal LEO/MIL credential or permit and want legal discussion tailored to that status, please email it ahead of time.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
(Bring the following to ensure full participation and a safe training experience.)
Rifle: A well-maintained semi-automatic rifle (AR-pattern or modern sporting rifle recommended; other calibers acceptable based on instructor guidance).
Optics / Sights: Iron sights or a red-dot optic—bring what you normally run.
Magazines: Minimum 3 magazines (mag pouch/carrier recommended).
Ammunition: 200–300 rounds of factory-loaded rifle ammunition (bring more if you want extra practice).
Holster / Sling: Tactical sling or preferred carry system for movement drills.
Magazines & Pouches: Sturdy magazine pouch(s) and a belt or plate carrier if used in your normal setup.
Eye & Ear Protection: Mandatory — bring quality sealed ear protection and safety glasses (available for purchase/rent on site).
Attire: Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and comfortable, range-appropriate clothing that allows movement. Avoid loose jewelry.
Hydration / Snacks: Bring water and light snacks — full-day drills are physically demanding.
Notebook / Phone: For notes and (if permitted) video for later review.
Arrival: Arrive 15–20 minutes early for check-in, weapon/gear inspection, and safety briefing.
