Description

Defender Ready is the starting point for responsible firearm ownership and personal protection.

Designed for beginners, new gun owners, and individuals considering purchasing a firearm, this classroom-based personal defense course helps students move beyond simply owning a firearm and begin developing the mindset, awareness, and decision-making skills required for responsible self-defense.

Before learning to shoot, responsible gun owners must understand when, why, and how a firearm may be used.

This course focuses on the foundation of personal protection:

  • Awareness
  • Avoidance
  • Decision-making
  • Safety
  • Legal considerations
  • Defensive mindset

Students will learn how to think like a responsible protector before ever stepping onto the range.

Defender Ready is the recommended starting point for students entering the Bear Arms Training pathway and prepares students for future live-fire courses including Defensive Pistol & Concealed Carry Applications.
