Description
A 4-5 hour seminar (Depending on questions and discussion) that teaches strategies people can integrate into their everyday lives to avoid becoming victims of a crime. This is not a firearms course and does not include instructin in physical self defense. This seminar teaches common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and a variety of corrective measures that are practical, inexpensive and easy to follow. Includes classroom instruction on criminal psychology, automobile crimes, cyber safety, home security and a variety of crime prevention strategies including carjack avoidance techniques, use of personal safety devices and more.
Topics Covered
Situational awareness, crime avoidance techniques in a variety of situations, an examination of the pros and cons of various less-lethal weapons someone may choose to carry instead of or in addition to a firearm.
Expectations and Outcomes
Studens will receive an NRA Refuse to be a Victim Handbook, firearms supplement, brochure, and a completion certificate.
