Description
This course is intended for all individuals regardless of shooting experience or NRA affiliation. Course topics include gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, marksmanship, and range safety. Students will complete live fire training and a nationally recognized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA certified instructor.

Expectations and Outcomes
Students will receive the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting handbook, take a basics of Pistol Shooting exam, and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and the Certified NRA Instructor.

Documentation Requirements
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
Semi-automatic pistol or revolver in good working condition in a case or holster, in any caliber. At least 50 rounds of ammunition (preferably 100), eye and ear protection. Electronic hearing protection is preferred. Long pants, closed toed-shoes. Hat is optional as we will be in the sun. Drinking water. A lunch break is provided. Students may bring their lunch or leave, but there are no restaurants in the immediate area.
