Waiver
RELEASE, WAIVER, INDEMNIFICATION, HOLD HARMLESS, AND ASSUMPTION OF THE RISK AGREEMENT
WHEREAS: in consideration of being permitted to attend a course for instruction in firearms, for use of premises, and for other good and valuable consideration the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Undersigned agrees to the following:
The Undersigned agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend any and all instructors, Concealed Hand Gun permit instructors, the Range Officers, First Protect Training Academy, LLC, 8945 N. Westland Drive Suite 302, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 and all employees and agents of the Instructor, the Range Officers, First Protect Training Academy, LLC & First Protect Security, Inc, 8945 N. Westland Drive Suite 302, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 from any and all fault, liabilities, cost, expenses claims, demands, or lawsuits arising out of, related to or connected with: the Undersigned’s presence at and/ or participation in the course of instruction; the discharge of firearms by the Undersigned; the intentional or accidental use of firearms and/or ammunition by any person; the Undersigned’s presence on or use of the range buildings, land and premises used by the Instructor (“Premises”); the condition and/or design of the Premises, and any and all acts or omissions of the Undersigned.
Undersigned furthermore waives for himself/herself and of his/her executors, personal representatives, administrators, assignees, heirs and next of kin, any and all rights and claims for damages, losses, demands, and any other action or claims whatsoever, which he/she may have or which may arise against the Instructor, the Range Officers, First Protect Training Academy, LLC & First Protect Security, Inc, 8945 N. Westland Drive Suite 302, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 and all employees and agents of the Instructor, the Range Officers, First Protect Training Academy, LLC, 8945 N. Westland Drive Suite 302, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 (including but not limited to the death of the Undersigned and/or any and all injuries, damages or illnesses suffered by the Undersigned or the Undersigned’s property), which may, in any way whatsoever, arise out of, be related to or be connected with: the course of instruction; the Premises, including any latent defect in the Premises; the Undersigned’s presence on or use of said Premises; the Undersigned’s property (whether or not entrusted to the Instructor); and the intentional or accidental use of firearms and/or ammunition by any person.
Undersigned hereby expressly assumes the risk of taking part in the course for instruction in firearms and taking part in the activities on the Premises, which include, but are not limited to, instruction in the use of firearms, the discharge of firearms and the firing of live ammunition.
THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ THE INSTRUMENT AND UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS AND IS EXECUTING THIS INSTRUMENT VOLUNTARILY. UNDERSIGNED FURTHERMORE HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ THE INSTRUMENT VOLUNTARILY. THE UNDERSIGNED FURTHERMORE HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT HE/SHE HAS READ, UNDERSTOOD AND WILL AT ALL TIMES ABIDE BY ALL RANGE RULES AND PROCEDURES STATED BY THE INSTRUCTOR.
Undersigned expressly agrees the instrument is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law, and that is any provision of this instrument is held invalid or otherwise unenforceable, the enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be impaired thereby. No remedy on behalf of Undersigned is intended to be created herein.

I hereby warrant that I am the parent and/or legal guardian of the person who signed the foregoing agreement, that I have caused said person to execute said agreement, and that, knowing of your reliance hereon, I agree to cause said person to adhere to all of the provisions of said agreement. The Parent and/or Guardian acknowledges that they will be onsite, supervising the minor during any live fire exercises and will remain on premises until the instructor excuses the minor.

Possession/Use of Firearms
I, ____________________________________________________ swear that I am legally allowed to possess and/or use firearms in the United States. Furthermore, I have not been convicted, nor am I currently charged with a crime or offense that would prohibit me from legally owning or using a firearm.

Gun safety rules
Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use.
Range rules
No tracer ammo.
No armor piercing ammo or shotgun shells.
No ammo larger than 45 LC. (No 44 mag, 50, 454, 460, or 500 calibers)
No rapid fire
Contact Range Officers for equipment failures.
Eye and Ear protection must be worn in gun range at all times.
No V-Neck Shirts.
Guns must be unloaded and secured before leaving the gun range. Concealed handgun license holders must have gun holstered and concealed. License holders must show the instructor the license upon arrival.
Firing line commands from Range Officers must be obeyed at all times
“Cease fire” - Everybody stops shooting immediately and steps back from firing line.
“Fire” - Okay to begin firing in a safe manner.
General range rules
No food or beverages in gun range area.
No smoking anywhere in the building or gun range.
No loading of firearms or magazines outside of gun range.
No use of alcohol or drugs before or while shooting.
No horse play.
Emergency procedures If you or somebody gets injured immediately say in a loud tone “Cease fire”. If the injury is serious, the instructor will provide guidance on who will call the emergency number.

I the undersigned understand and agree to all gun range rules and regulations stated above and will abide by them while on the premises of said gun range and will indemnify and hold harmless my Instructor, the Range Officers, First Protect Training Academy, LLC & First Protect Security, Inc, 8945 N. Westland Drive Suite 302, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 and all employees and agents of Instructor, for any violation by myself of the said rules and regulations.
