Cancellation Policy
At
Joyce Security Group, we take great pride in our commitment to excellence. To ensure you receive the personalized attention and high-quality instruction you deserve, we intentionally keep our class sizes small. Because these limited spots fill quickly, we have established the following policies to balance the needs of all our students:
Due to limited class capacity and preparation costs, we are unable to provide refunds. While we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations, we are happy to help you retain the value of your investment. Please note that cancellations must be made in writing to
jsgdetroit@gmail.com at least 7 days before the scheduled course; we cannot honor requests made by phone or in person.
Reschedule Policy
Transferring Your Spot: If you can’t make it, you are welcome to transfer your registration in a course to another person.
- Requirements: Your substitute must be 21+ and meet all course prerequisites.
- Notification: Simply email jsgdetroit@gmail.com at least 2 days before the class with your substitute’s name, email address, and phone number so we can welcome them properly.
Refund Policy
Again, we are unable to offer refunds. However, if you notify us via email at least one week before your scheduled course or training, you may either move your registration to a different date or receive a store credit. This credit is valid toward future training, memberships, or merchandise.
Other Policy
Promotion Eligibility:
The "Bring-a-Friend" and "Couple's Discount" offers apply only to the
April 25, 2026 class. To qualify for the discounted rate, both participants must register and pay in a single transaction or utilize the provided group-registration code at checkout. Promotional bookings are non-refundable. If one member of the pair cannot attend, the remaining student may attend; however, the discount value cannot be applied toward a future solo class. Rescheduling is permitted once, provided a
48-hour notice is given.
Cancellations made by Joyce Security Group:We aim to make our courses reliable and easy to plan for everyone. Below is our friendly, straightforward policy should we have to cancel.
- Minimum Enrollment and Course Rescheduling
- Some courses require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum has not been met by the end of the day 2-days before the course, we reserve the right to reschedule the course. We will notify registered students by email and/or phone if a course is rescheduled for this reason.
- Instructor Availability
- Occasionally, an instructor may become unavailable, and a satisfactory substitute cannot be arranged. In those rare cases, we will reschedule the class and notify you by email and/or phone as soon as possible.
- Your Options After a Reschedule
- If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, we will credit your registration fee provided we receive your written email request at least 2 days before the rescheduled course date. Please include your name, course name, and original registration date in the email.
- Inclement Weather
- Unless you hear from us, please assume classes will occur regardless of weather. Because of the planning involved with venues, instructors, and resources, we very rarely cancel classes for weather. If we do cancel a class due to weather, we will reschedule you into another scheduled class when space is available.
