Description

This class introduces rifle/carbine shooters to the AR platform fundamentals. Class will focus on stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control and recoil management which is different than that of a handgun. Additional time will be devoted to instructing carrying and mount positions particular to the AR rifle. Class begins with an instructor introduction, safety briefing, and an overview of firearm safety rules and range commands. Class overview and expectations of shooter improvement are discussed prior to starting. Participants will develop these fundamentals using both dry fire drills and live fire experience to reinforce these fundamentals. During the live fire instructors provide real time guidance and feedback further building shooter skill, confidence, and safe handling. The class wraps up with a Q&A and recommendations for further training as needed. This hands-on approach ensures participants build a solid foundation, gain confidence, and understand how each fundamental contributes to responsible firearms handling.
