Description
This class introduces rifle/carbine shooters to the AR platform fundamentals. Class will focus on stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control and recoil management which is different than that of a handgun. Additional time will be devoted to instructing carrying and mount positions particular to the AR rifle. Class begins with an instructor introduction, safety briefing, and an overview of firearm safety rules and range commands. Class overview and expectations of shooter improvement are discussed prior to starting. Participants will develop these fundamentals using both dry fire drills and live fire experience to reinforce these fundamentals. During the live fire instructors provide real time guidance and feedback further building shooter skill, confidence, and safe handling. The class wraps up with a Q&A and recommendations for further training as needed. This hands-on approach ensures participants build a solid foundation, gain confidence, and understand how each fundamental contributes to responsible firearms handling.

Expectations and Outcomes
Participants will learn confidence through use of their rifle as a primary self defense weapon.

Requirements
Participants bring their personal AR style platform. Acceptable variation would include AR15 to include 5.56, 223, 300 blackout not 7.62 or 308. Also acceptable is AR style PCC 9mm.
Shooters can expect to shoot 150 rounds, have at least two 30 round magazines.
Eye and ear protection. Hat and close toed shoes.
