Cancellation Policy

We know things happen but: 

 

  • All sales are final
  • All consultations and/or appointments must be canceled no less then  24-hours prior to the scheduled start time. If canceled less then 24 hours a 10% fee will be accessed.
  • If you are unable to attend your scheduled class you will be provided a credit that can be used for a future class, consultation or private lesson.
  • Classes, consultations and appointments can be rescheduled once (no  exceptions). A 10% fee will be accessed for each additional rescheduled class, consultation or appointment.
  • Reschedules must be made within 30 days of the original appointment date. 
  • A full refund will be provided if an instructor cancels a class, private lesson or consultation.
  • It is the instructor's discretion to cancel and reschedule a course/appointment due to inclement weather. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled course/appointment, please inform our staff so we can reschedule or move your registration to an agreed upon date.

Waiver

General Release – Dangerous and Secure Basic Pistol Training, LLC

By signing below and in exchange for the opportunity to participate in Firearm Classes or Training (“Training”), the undersigned (“Participant”) indicates that she or he has carefully read and understands this General Release, and acknowledges and agrees to the following items, on behalf of Participant and her or his heirs, guardians, representatives, successors, and assigns.

_____(a) Participant is at least 18 years of age, mentally competent and medically able to agree to the terms of this General Release. The individual signing below gives this General Release freely and knowingly with full understanding of its content and effect.

_____(b) Participant is legally permitted to possess and use firearms and other related equipment (“Firearms”), whether as part of a Training or otherwise, and is capable of using Firearms safely. Dangerous and Secure Basic Pistol Training, LLC (“the Company”) does not provide guidance on the specific legality of skills learned during Training. Participant is responsible for determining the requirements of all applicable laws as they may relate to ownership, possession, and use of Firearms, and remaining in compliance with such requirements. Participant will follow the policies, procedures, and rules of the venue where the Training takes place. The Company reserves the right to revoke Participant’s right to participate in Training at any time for any reason.

_____(c) Participant has made a fully informed decision to participate in Training, understanding that inherent in the nature of such events and the use of Firearms is the potential of serious property damage and physical injury, up to and including death. Participant understands that the use of Firearms may involve risks (unforeseen or otherwise) and that Participant is responsible for her or his own safety and behavior, including but not limited to the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and refraining from the use of substances that may alter Participant’s mental state. Participant is under no obligation to attend or participate in any Training and is permitted to decline participation or attendance or continued participation or attendance in Training at any time for any reason.

_____(d) Participant waives, releases and forever discharges any rights, claims, demands, or objections which Participant has or which afterwards may accrue to Participant against the Company: its affiliates, sponsors, partners, or licensees; or any of its officers, directors, employees, facilitators, volunteers, agents, representatives, assigns or successors (past or present), including for any physical injury, death or property damage, in connection with Participant’s participation in Training, regardless of the cause of such rights, claims, demands, or objections. Participant understands that this General Release is intended to discharge, release, and waive any and all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from her or his participation in Training, even if such claims arise by the negligence of the Company. Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company from and against any claims, damages, and liabilities that Participant had or may have for personal injury, death, or property damage arising in any way from participation in Training.

_____(e) The Company may designate personnel to capture photographs and recordings of Participant (the “Media”) during a Training. Participant consents to the Company’s unlimited use of the Media for unlimited time in all print mediums, or other media of tangible expression (including the Internet and/or forms of social media), as the Company may elect and without payment of royalties or other compensation to Participant. Participant waives the right to inspect or approve the finished materials in which the Media may be exhibited, published, or distributed. All Media is owned by the Company, and the Company may register any copyrights or other intellectual property rights in the Media. To the extent Participant has any copyrights or other rights in the Media, such as a right of publicity, they are assigned to the Company. Participant waives all rights or claims in any media or material using Participant’s name, photograph, voice persona or likeness contained in the Media. The Company is only responsible for Media captured by its designated personnel.

_____(f) If any provision of this General Release is deemed invalid or unenforceable, it will not invalidate the remaining provisions of this General Release. The Company’s failure to exercise any of its rights under this General Release does not prevent it from exercising such rights at a later date. This General Release contains the full and complete understanding of the Company and Participant regarding its subject matter and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings, cannot be modified except in writing signed by both Participant and an authorized representative of the Company, and is governed in accordance with the laws of Texas, without regard to its conflict or choice of law provisions. This General Release will continue in effect even after termination of Participant’s participation in Training. An electronic or facsimile signature will have the same force and effect as an original, non-facsimile signature.
