Description

General Information and Pricing

Dead On Tactical Arms teaches classes on most Saturdays (every two weeks). We will teach on Sundays upon special request for those that have difficulty with availability to attend on a Saturday. We will need at least 4 people to sign up for a class in order to teach. If you can recruit 4 or more people to attend, I reduce the rate for your group to $89 per person versus my normal rate of $99 per person.  Dead On Tactical Arms offer a discount for Active/Retired Military and Veterans, LEO, Firefighters, EMTs, Nurses, and Teachers with a rate of $79.

Fall & Winter Hours 7AM-5PM

Spring & Summer Hours 8AM-6PM

Training class times will be 8hrs in classroom. Qualification Shooting from completion of written testing until complete.  Qualification start ~3PM-4PM and generally finish ~5PM-6PM. We hold your safety in high regard.  We only allow one live gun.  Each student will qualify under the direction/supervision of the instructor...1 on 1.  There will be other participants in the class. We will keep the max class size between 12-15 people.

Class Content per NCDOJ Standard Model

Classroom portion will be taught in our detached shop/training center. We have an outdoor permitted shooting range that is used for Concealed Handgun Qualifications. Please, bring eye protection and hearing protection. Dead On Tactical Arms will have safety glasses and ear plugs, if you forget. We teach our class in compliance with the NCDOJ requirements.  Our class is taught by a Certified NRA Basic Pistol Instructor and NCDOJ Certified Instructor for NC Concealed Handgun.

The first portion of the class will be a review for the more experience handgun owners, but is essential for those with little experience. We will cover the different types of handguns, there component parts, how to safely load and unload the different types of handguns, handgun cleaning and maintenance, ammunition, the components of ammunition, how to identify ammunition, and fundamentals of shooting (stance, sight alignment, trigger control, etc...). The afternoon portion of the class will focus on Concealed Carry Techniques/Holsters, Handgun Shooting Positions, and NC Laws of Concealed Carry, Use of Deadly Force in NC, Written Test, and Handgun Qualification Test.

Working Lunch

We will have a working lunch between 11AM - NOON in order to get the class completed before we lose daylight. We will supply soft drinks, water, and chips to snack on during the class.  We provide pizza for lunch.  Generally, pepperoni and cheese. Those that do not wish to eat pizza can bring a bagged lunch.

Qualification Shooting & Range Shooting

Dead On Tactical Arms will be supplying the qualification .22LR pistol and ammo.

You can bring your personal firearms to the range. We require that they not be loaded or displayed until after the qualification shooting is complete.

Dead On Tactical Arms, LLC is a licensed FFL dealer with a brick-and-mortar shop located in Pinetops, NC.  We would like an opportunity to offer our services for firearms and accessory selections. We will have a couple of personal and business weapons available for students to try out on our range after qualifications are complete.

Requirements

Range is outdoors and we must complete the classroom portion prior to going to the range.  Please, dress appropriately for the weather.  Additionally, please, wear footwear for uneven terrain.  NO open toed shoes, sandels, or flip flops on the range.
