Description
This comprehensive course is designed to build a solid foundation in safe, responsible handgun ownership and operation. Whether you are a first-time shooter or looking to refine your fundamentals, this class emphasizes the core principles every confident marksman should master.
Students will learn the rules of firearm safety, understand handgun parts, types, and operation, and gain hands-on experience in malfunction clearing drills and proper cleaning, maintenance, and storage.
Through guided instruction, you’ll develop essential marksmanship skills—including proper grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and recoil management.
Before live-fire qualification, students will practice drills using air pistols and simulation trainers to build muscle memory and confidence in a controlled environment. The course concludes with a live-fire qualification under instructor supervision.

Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will confidently demonstrate safe firearm handling, identify handgun parts and operation, perform malfunction drills, clean and store firearms properly, apply fundamental marksmanship skills, and successfully complete live-fire qualification through structured classroom, simulation, and range training.

Documentation Requirements
One form of government ID.
The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.
Requirements
Students may bring their own firearm in a locked case. * No ammo is allowed in the classroom*
Students may also use the instructor's firearm. When using the instructor's firearm student will be required to purchase ammo from the instructor which is currently $.27 cents rounds.
