Mike Patrick brings more than 40 years of real-world personal defense and combative training experience to every class he teaches.

He began his training in traditional martial arts and has progressed to the rank of Professor / Grandmaster, earning induction into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame in recognition of his lifelong dedication to teaching, research, and instruction.

Mike is the founder of Dragon Tactical International, a division of Dragon Society International (DSI)—an international organization with certified instructors around the world. While he is based in Greeneville, Tennessee, Mike travels extensively throughout the United States and internationally, teaching seminars, instructor courses, and defensive training programs.

Widely respected for both his technical expertise and his ability to teach complex material clearly, Mike specializes in practical, real-world combative skills. He is an Active Shooter response instructor, providing both armed and unarmed response training for civilians, law enforcement, churches, and corporate security teams.

In recent years, Mike has expanded his instruction to include basic trauma care and tactical medicine, including Stop the Bleed and related lifesaving skills—ensuring students are prepared not only to respond to threats, but to treat injuries when seconds matter.

Above all, Mike believes effective training should be serious, practical, and engaging. His classes are known for being informative, confidence-building, and—yes—enjoyable.

Mike is a devoted husband, father, and proud grandfather.

Policies

Cancellation Policy

All classes must be canceled no later than 15 days prior to the day of class. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of deposits.

Should you discover that you are unable to attend on a date inside the 15-day refund cut off, you may transfer your registration to another designated attendee or apply the registration payment toward any other Dragon Tactical event which you are eligible to attend.  This course must cccur within 12 months following the originally scheduled event.  Requests to have paid registration fees applied to the new event must be received no less than 15 days prior to the opening date of the event.

Reschedule Policy

If you need to reschedule a class, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule, preferably no later than 15 days before class to avoid loss of deposit.  Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis.

Refund Policy

If you cancel your registration for a course 15 days before the scheduled class date, you will be refunded the full amount of the course.  If cancellation is made within 15 days, the student may forfeit a refund.

If the instructor must cancel the course at any time, all students will be refunded the full amount.

Waiver

Dragon Tactical International - Hold Harmless / Liability Waiver Form

To the best of my knowledge, I am in good physical condition and fully able to participate in this course. I

am fully aware of the risks and hazards connected with the participation in Firearms Training, including

physical injury or even death, and herby elect to voluntarily participate in said event, knowing that the

associated physical activity may be hazardous to me and my property. I VOLUNTARILY ASSUME FULL

RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISKS OR LOSS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY,

INCLUDING DEATH, that may be sustained by me, or loss or damage to property owned by me, as a

result of participation in this course. I further certify that I am at least 18 years of age. If under 18, my

parent/guardian is the below signed.

I hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE, Dragon Tactical

International, Mike Patrick, Bill Adams, Mike Besser, their officers, servants, agents, and employees

(hereinafter referred to as RELEASEES) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of

action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be

sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in physical activity, or while on or

upon the premises where the event is being conducted. 

It is my expressed intent that this release and hold harmless agreement shall bind the members

of my family and spouse, if I am alive, and my heirs, assigns and personal representative, if I

am deceased, and shall be deemed as a RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, and CONVENTION TO

SUE the above named RELEASEES. I hereby further agree that this Waiver of Liability and Hold

Harmless Agreement shall be constructed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee.

In signing this release, I acknowledge and represent that I HAVE READ THE FOREGOING Waiver

of Liability and Hold Harmless Agreement, UNDERSTAND IT AND SIGN IT VOLUNTARILY as my

own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements or inducements, apart from the foregoing

written agreements have been made; and I EXECUTE THIS RELEASE FOR FULL, ADEQUATE AND

COMPLETE CONSIDERATION FULLY INTENDING TO BE BOUND BY SAME.

 

PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE

I hereby grant permission to the rights of my image, likeness and sound of my voice as recorded on audio

or video tape without payment or any other consideration. I understand that my image may be edited,

copied, exhibited, published or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product

wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or

related to the use of my image or recording. I also understand that this material may be used in diverse

settings within an unrestricted geographic area.

By signing this release, I understand this permission signifies that photographic or video recordings of me

may be electronically displayed via the Internet or in any other setting. There is no time limit on the

validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed.

This release applies to photographic, audio or video recordings collected as part of the sessions.

By signing this form, I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand the above release and

agree to be bound thereby. I hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization.
