Description
The Elite Outdoors LR 401 will be held at the Day Mountain Ranch in the mountains of Preston, Idaho. The range will be closed to the general public for the course. Lodging and all meals are included in the cost of the course, exceptions being dinner on Thursday July 29th (check-in day) and dinner on Sunday August 1st (final day of training). Lodging and meals will all be on the property, so there is no need to book reservations off site. Drinks such as water, soda, and energy drinks will be provided at no extra cost throughout the weekend during training.
Training will start promptly following breakfast each day and run until 5 p.m., except for Sunday, which we expect to wrap up no later than 3 p.m. With breaks provided as the day goes, including lunch time. We will be utilizing some class presentation mixed in with plenty of range time.
The curriculum is primarily intended for short action cartidges. But feel free to bring a magnum rifle, as we will be shooting in an area with markedly difficult terrain/wind at distances of 1,400+ yards. The main range also has targets out to one mile.
This is not a physical course. However, there may be some walking between stations that requires you to carry all of your gear. Feel free to ask for gear recommendations. Suppressors are also highly recommended. If you do not have one, let us know as far in advance as possible and we'll try to accomodate. If you are unsure of what to buy and would like to test gear before buying, we will also have a limited amount available to borrow through the course. We just ask that you let us know in advance so we can allocate things properly.

Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of the weekend, shooters can expect to walk away much more capable and confident of their abilities in advanced terrain and wind conditions.

Requirements
Minimum:
- Rifle capable of shooting ~1 MOA or better
- Reliably tracking scope. MIL or MOA reticle preferred.
- 300-500 rounds
- Two magazines minimum. (Don't worry if your rifle does not have a detachable magazine. It's not required, but it may make some events more difficult.)
- Sling
- Bipod
- Rugged backpack or Ruck sack capable of carrying your gear
- Shooting bag such as an Armageddon Gear Gamechanger or Rear Bag
- Ear and Eye protection
- Ballistic solver. Can be a Kestrel with AB or a phone based app. AB Quantum preferred.
