Requirements

  1. Graduates of “First Shots” or “Foundations: Basic Pistol”:

No additional range time will be required for verified graduates of these classes. A certificate of completion will be provided by email once your prior attendance at a live-fire class has been verified.

  2. NEW STUDENTS who have not completed “First Shots” or “Foundations: Basic Pistol 101”:

If you have not completed a prior pistol class with us, you must schedule an in-person range time with the instructor to demonstrate proficiency with a firearm after completing this virtual class in order to receive a certificate of completion to use for your Florida Concealed Weapons and Firearms License application with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service (FDACS).

Qualification days will be on Sundays before a scheduled First Shots or Basic Pistol class (At least Twice per month) and occasional Saturdays at Orlando Gun Club (Ocoee or Millenia - based on class date). Appointment times will be accepted within 1.5 hours prior to a scheduled class. (Typically, between 11:00 am and 12:30pm), or immediately after the completion of a scheduled class. The instructor reserves the right to deny a certificate to anyone who cannot demonstrate basic proficiency or safety with a pistol).
