Description
This course satisfies the training requirements established by the Illinois State Police for individuals applying for or renewing an Illinois Concealed Carry License. Instruction is structured, standardized, and conducted in accordance with state law. Successful completion requires full participation, attention to instruction, and adherence to all safety protocols.
The curriculum includes firearm safety, handgun operation, safe storage, marksmanship fundamentals, and a detailed review of Illinois use-of-force law as it applies to civilian self-defense and concealed carry. Legal instruction is specific to Illinois statutes and case law and is a required component of certification.
Please arrive prepared with the following:
• A valid government-issued photo ID
• Any registration confirmation or required paperwork
• Eye and ear protection (limited loaner equipment may be available)
• A professional mindset and willingness to follow instructions
Do not bring a firearm or ammunition unless you have been explicitly instructed to do so in advance. If you do not own a firearm, accommodations will be addressed prior to any live-fire qualification.
Safety standards are strictly enforced. Students who fail to follow instructions, handle firearms unsafely, or disrupt the training environment will be dismissed without refund. These requirements exist to protect all participants and to maintain compliance with Illinois law.
Please note: completion of this course does not guarantee approval of a concealed carry license. Final approval is determined solely by the Illinois State Police following application submission and background review.
If you have questions about course expectations, physical requirements, or eligibility, contact us before your training date to ensure proper placement.
We appreciate your decision to pursue lawful, responsible concealed carry training in Illinois. We look forward to working with you.
