Description
This course satisfies the Maryland State Police training requirements for both the Handgun Qualification License (HQL) and the Wear & Carry Permit. Instruction is delivered on-site in Maryland, making it convenient for students and groups. The curriculum covers firearm safety, operation, and handling, as well as Maryland laws regarding use of force, transportation, and storage.
Students will complete classroom instruction, practical exercises, and live-fire qualification standards as required by Maryland law.

Documentation Requirements
Valid government-issued ID (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, etc.)
Completed waiver form (required before participation)

Requirements
Personal firearms must be unloaded upon arrival (mandatory at any classroom location — no exceptions).
Eye and ear protection required.
Ammunition (minimum 50 rounds) for live-fire qualification.
Rental firearms and ammunition available at additional cost.
Comfortable clothing suitable for classroom and range activity.
