Description
Duration: A minimum of 2 hours, all conducted in-person (no online components) with the instructor present.
Instructor: Must be a Verified Instructor, certified through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and listed by the county sheriff

By the end of your CCW Refresher Course, you will have:
? Reviewed Updated Colorado Laws
Stay informed on recent changes to Colorado and federal firearm laws, use-of-force statutes, and legal responsibilities for concealed carry permit holders.
? Refreshed Firearm Safety Knowledge
Reinforced proper firearm handling, storage, transportation, and safety practices.
? Completed a Live-Fire Qualification
Fired a minimum of 50 rounds and demonstrated safe, accurate shooting with a required passing score of 70% accuracy.
? Successfully Completed a Written Exam
Taken a written open-book test on the legal and safety topics covered in class with a required score of 80% or higher.
? Prepared for Permit Renewal
You will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of class, which satisfies the Colorado training requirement for your CCW permit renewal.
This certificate is valid for 6 months from the date of class and must be submitted to your county sheriff’s office as part of your renewal application.
? Gained Confidence and Clarity
Leave class with a stronger understanding of your rights, responsibilities, and safe carry practices.
? Important Reminder:
The Certificate of Completion from this course is only valid for renewal of an existing Colorado concealed handgun permit. It cannot be used for initial permit applications.

To help ensure a smooth class, please complete the following before your refresher course:

Your current Colorado CCW permit (expired or current)
Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, Passport, or State ID)
Firearm for qualification
Minimum 50 rounds of ammunition
Eye & ear protection
Signed waivers (see below)
