Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will have a strong foundation in firearm safety and pistol handling, even with no prior experience. Students will learn to confidently and responsibly operate a pistol, including how to safely load, unload, and inspect it. Through hands-on practice and live-fire exercises, students will develop essential marksmanship skills such as proper stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, breath control, and follow-through. In addition, students will understand how to care for their firearm through basic cleaning and preventive maintenance, as well as how to store and transport it safely and legally. The course is designed to build both competence and confidence for anyone looking to handle firearms safely and effectively.
