Description
Ready to level up your firearm handling skills?
This course is designed for shooters who have established a basic level of proficiency and safety with their handgun. Building on the foundations taught in Handgun 101, this course focuses on safely and effectively drawing from a belt-mounted outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster and engaging targets with confidence.
Through a combination of classroom instruction, dry-fire exercises, and live-fire range drills, students will refine their ability to draw and fire their handgun from an OWB holster safely, efficiently, and accurately.
Important Notes
This is NOT a concealed carry course. Instruction is delivered entirely from an OWB or duty belt configuration, allowing students to focus on skill development without the added complexity of managing concealed garments.
Students must demonstrate basic firearms proficiency to participate. Those unable to safely operate a firearm may be removed and rescheduled for additional foundational training to ensure the safety of all participants.
We strongly recommend completing Handgun 101 (or an equivalent course) prior to enrollment.

Expectations and Outcomes
This intermediate-level course is designed for shooters who already have a solid grasp of handgun safety and basic operation, and are ready to advance their skills. Building on the fundamentals taught in Handgun 101, students will learn to safely and effectively draw from a belt-mounted outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster and engage targets with improved speed and accuracy. Instruction covers holster setup, drawstroke mechanics, acquiring a proper grip from the holster, presenting the firearm to the target, and safely re-holstering. Students will also gain an introduction to firearm retention and receive a refresher on core marksmanship skills. Through classroom learning, dry-fire practice, and live-fire drills, participants will develop greater confidence and efficiency in drawing and shooting from the holster. This is not a concealed carry course—students will work from open OWB or duty-style holsters to focus purely on skill development. Basic firearms proficiency is required, and completion of Handgun 101 (or an equivalent) is strongly recommended prior to enrollment.
