Description
This two-hour introductory course is specifically designed for first-time AR-15 owners seeking to develop foundational skills and confidence in the safe handling, operation, and maintenance of their firearm. Whether you've recently purchased your first AR-15 or are considering doing so, this class provides the essential knowledge and hands-on instruction to get you started as a responsible and competent owner.
By the end of the course, students will have successfully set up and zeroed their rifle and will be prepared to safely operate, maintain, and practice with their AR-15 platform. This course is ideal for those serious about understanding the AR-15—from unboxing to confident operation.
Students are encouraged to bring their own AR-15 rifle and accessories if available. If not, rental equipment is available upon request. This course emphasizes safety, respect for the platform, and building competence from the ground up.
Note: No prior experience is required. This is a beginner-level class focused on establishing safe, correct habits from the outset.

This two-hour beginner-level course is designed for first-time AR-15 owners or those considering purchasing one, with a focus on building foundational skills in safe handling, operation, and basic maintenance of the rifle. Through a mix of classroom instruction and hands-on practice, students will learn essential firearm safety principles, gain a clear understanding of the AR-15 platform’s features and functions, and develop confidence in rifle setup, optic zeroing, and basic marksmanship. Key topics include proper grip, trigger control, sight alignment, malfunction identification and clearing, and safe range conduct. Students will also receive practical drills to continue their training beyond the classroom. By the end of the course, participants will have successfully set up and zeroed their rifle and will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to safely operate, maintain, and practice with their AR-15. No prior experience is required, and rental gear is available for those who do not yet own a rifle. This course emphasizes safety, competence, and responsible ownership from the very beginning.
