Description
This course is designed for responsible citizens who have a basic understanding of rifle safety and operation. It builds upon the core concepts introduced in Rifle 101, providing a safe and structured environment to transition from bench shooting to practical, real-world applications. Students will learn to handle and operate their AR-style rifle efficiently, confidently, and accurately in a variety of shooting positions and scenarios.
Through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, and live-fire drills, students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to employ their rifle safely and effectively in dynamic environments.
Firearm Requirements:
This course is suitable for AR-style platforms chambered in:.223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, Blackout, and Pistol Caliber Carbines (PCCs)
Note: .22 LR is not permitted in this course due to reliability concerns.

This intermediate-level course is designed for responsible citizens with a foundational understanding of rifle safety and operation, ideally those who have completed Rifle 101. The class provides a safe, structured environment to move beyond benchrest shooting and into practical, real-world applications using AR-style platforms. Through a blend of classroom instruction, hands-on exercises, and live-fire drills, students will develop the confidence and competence to operate their rifle safely and effectively in dynamic settings. Key skills include loading and unloading procedures, marksmanship fundamentals (stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control, breathing, and follow-through), as well as transitioning between various shooting positions such as standing, kneeling, and seated. Students will also practice ready positions (high and low ready), bolt lock reloads, and essential rifle manipulations.
