Description
Would you know what to do if you were deep in the wilderness and a hunting companion sustained a penetrating chest wound from an errant round? Could you prolong the life of a loved one long enough for the ambulance to arrive if they suffered a lacerated artery from a violent attacker armed with a knife?
While most Americans are comfortable dealing with the minor cuts and scrapes of everyday life—and many have learned the Heimlich maneuver or CPR—far fewer are confident when faced with severe, life-threatening injuries or illnesses. When seconds count and EMS personnel are minutes or even hours away, your actions can make the difference between life and death.
In the Emergency First Aid Fundamentals (EFAF) course, you’ll learn how to properly assess a patient and manage critical issues such as severe bleeding, chest injuries, compromised airways, spinal trauma, fractures, and more.
This is not a passive classroom session—you’ll get hands-on experience working through realistic emergency scenarios using simulated patients and actual first aid equipment, so you can build true confidence and competence in lifesaving skills.
When it comes to traumatic or medical emergencies, the mission is simple but vital: sustain life until help arrives.
At the completion of this training, participants will walk away with an Adult CPR, First Aid Certification, and a Stop the Bleed Certificate, as well as the knowledge and confidence to become their family’s first responder when every second countsTypes
