Description
The USCCA Less-Lethal SABRE Pepper Spray Course is a comprehensive introduction to the safe, legal, and effective use of pepper spray as a personal self-defense tool. Designed for everyday citizens, this course empowers students with practical knowledge and skills to confidently carry and deploy SABRE® pepper spray in real-world situations.
Students will learn how pepper spray works, how strength is measured, and what effects it has on an attacker—both physically and psychologically. The course covers important legal considerations surrounding use of force, helping students understand when and how pepper spray may be lawfully and ethically used for self-defense.
Through instructor-led discussion and demonstrations, participants will explore practical deployment methods, including direct and indirect spray techniques, environmental factors such as wind and confined spaces, and strategies for dealing with single or multiple threats. Proper carry options, accessibility, levels of readiness, and safe handling of SABRE pepper spray products are also addressed.
The course concludes with guidance on post-exposure actions and decontamination procedures, ensuring students know what to do if they or others are exposed. All students will leave the class with a SABRE® pepper spray product, giving them a ready-to-use addition to their personal self-defense toolbox.
By the end of this training, participants will have the knowledge, confidence, and decision-making framework to responsibly carry and use SABRE pepper spray as a proven less-lethal personal protection option.
