Children’s and Family Firearm Safety Basics is an introductory course designed to teach children and families the fundamentals of responsible firearm safety, awareness, and range behavior. The course focuses on building a strong safety foundation through age-appropriate instruction and practical discussion.
Students will learn:

- Firearms Heritage and Use — An age-appropriate overview of the history of the Second Amendment and the role firearms have played in American history and society.
- Firearms Safety Rules — The fundamental rules for safely handling, storing, and interacting with firearms, including what to do—and what not to do—when around a firearm.
- Range Rules and Etiquette — What families can expect when visiting a shooting range, how to behave responsibly, and the importance of following range commands and safety procedures.
