About Gunpowder & Lead Defense Company
With a combined 37 years of experience in firearms and self-defense, this husband-and-wife team brings together the best training principles of the NRA and the USCCA.
Dee Evangelist has nine years of experience across multiple firearms platforms, including handguns, rifles, and shotguns. She is an NRA Certified Instructor with four years of experience as an NRA Range Safety Officer and has a background in martial arts.
Joseph Evangelist brings over 28 years of experience across multiple firearms platforms, including handguns, rifles, and shotguns. He is a USCCA Certified Instructor specializing in Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals, Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense, and Countering the Mass Shooter Threat.
Together, they have developed three specialized training programs for Houses of Worship, offering ongoing instruction designed to build confidence, sustain preparedness, and successfully integrate new volunteers who may not have previously considered serving in a safety role.

LIFE HAPPENS!
But when it happens, we all know you signed up for this course so we know you want to take it; so we will reschedule you for another date.
Since we do not refund your classroom dues, we will continue for up to a calendar year to reschedule you in one of our other courses. If no other dates are available, we will schedule you for private lessons up to 3 hours at no additional extra charge.
Please let us know as soon as possible!
Reschedule Policy
We will in our power reschedule you for the correct class you signed up for. If for some reason, the class has already passed and no others of equivalent or an upgrade is possible, we will schedule you for private lessons up to 3 hours at no additional charges.
Refund Policy
Life Happens, unfortunately, we do not refund any portion of your tuition, as we know you signed up for a course you are interested in. If, for some reason, you are absolutely not going to take us up on the upgrade, please know that this course and any other offers due to cancellation are transferable to the person of your choice.
