Description
JMI Training Solutions is excited to introduce our most intensive class yet: Tactical Defensive Series (TDS) – Defensive Disruptive Environments (DDE). This dynamic 8-hour course blends elements from our other TDS programs, featuring advanced defensive shooting techniques and training in and around vehicles, both solo and as part of a small team. Designed to test a wide range of skills in realistic, high-pressure scenarios, it emphasizes applying fundamentals with minimal coaching and repetition. Students may encounter vehicle operations, CQB, and problem-solving—critical skills for surviving a gunfight. Intended for those with solid fundamentals looking to push their abilities further, we recommend completing at least one major training course before DDE. To accommodate different needs and scenarios, participants can choose their weapon systems, though we suggest training with both a primary and secondary weapon. The primary can be a rifle or PCC/subgun (MP5, Scorpion, MPX, etc.) alongside a traditional pistol, though the course can also be completed with a pistol alone if preferred.
Topics Covered
- Using a rifle or PPC in and around a vehicle, deploying a handgun in similar situations, working and communicating effectively with unit members, understanding how to use cover and concealment, shooting while on the move, transitioning smoothly from a primary to a secondary weapon, and applying basic battlefield tactics.
Expectations and Outcomes
By the end of the training program, the student will have in-depth knowledge of how to operate multiple weapon systems in and around vehicles. They will also grasp the importance of working in a small unit and developing effective communication with fellow unit members.
