Description
- The Treating Traumatic Injury Course equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to treat and stabilize a patient before EMS arrives. With national statistics showing that 35% of pre-hospital deaths are due to blood loss before help gets there, this training focuses on identifying traumatic injuries and controlling bleeding to give patients a fighting chance. This intensive eight-hour course challenges students to reach their full potential and awards Stop The Bleed and USCCA certifications upon completion. Taught by experienced military, law enforcement, and medical professionals, the program prepares students to understand mechanisms of injury and handle situations involving effective bleeding control, estimating blood loss, applying compression bandages, using tourniquets, wound packing, treating major burns, and managing pelvis fractures, rib fractures, and head trauma.
