DC CONCEALED PISTOL LICENSE | RENEWAL COURSE

Description

The District of Columbia Concealed Pistol License must be renewed every two years. Unless exempt, renewal applicants must complete a four-hour firearm safety training course that includes the District of Columbia Specific Laws on Firearms & Self-Defense and range qualification within the previous twelve months of submitting their renewal application.

This two-part course meets the firearms training eligibility requirements to renew the District of Columbia Concealed Pistol License.

PART-ONE: Live Virtual eCourse

Objectives:

- DC Laws on Firearms

- Carrying Concealed in DC

- Prohibited Places

- DC Laws on Self-Defense

- DC CPL Permit Application Process

PART-TWO: Live-Fire Range

You will receive a link to schedule your 1-on-1 range qualification for a convenient day and time after registration.

Objective:

- Live-fire gun safety and proficiency qualification with a minimum score of 70% accuracy

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will receive:

1 – District of Columbia Concealed Carry Pistol License Course Renewal Certificate

This course is taught by a DC MPD-approved firearms instructor.

State application fees are not included in the class price. 

You must be 21+ and legally able to possess a firearm with a valid government photo ID to attend this course.

- Current DC Concealed Permit (must be active *not expired* to take renewal course).

The instructor requires a copy of your Government Issued ID once you register.

The instructor requires a copy of your Concealed Carry Weapons permit once you register.

Requirements

Class Supplies:  Pen and paper

Range Gear:

• Handgun with at least two magazines

• Hearing and eye protection
