About McLeod Consulting & Protection, LLC

I dedicated more than a decade to full-time law enforcement, where I served as a SWAT Sniper, firearms instructor, and training officer. During this time, I accumulated over 1,000 hours of formal training as a student under some of the most respected instructors in the industry. My experience spans firearms instruction, defensive tactics, and reality-based training, where I not only taught officers but also applied these skills in high-stakes, real-world situations.

These experiences shaped my understanding of the challenges faced in volatile encounters and reinforced the importance of preparedness. I have navigated high-pressure circumstances where mindset, skill, and composure determined the outcome—principles I carry forward into every class I teach.

My training background includes advanced certifications such as Rangemaster Advanced Firearms Instructor, NRA Patrol Rifle Instructor, Glock Armorer, LMT Master Armorer, and numerous specialized courses including CQB, handgun red dot instruction, trauma response, and executive protection. I continue to expand my skill set with ongoing training in open-source intelligence (OSINT), counter-sniper operations, and protective services.

Today, I integrate my law enforcement, SWAT, and executive protection experience into customized training programs for individuals, groups, and businesses. I emphasize fundamentals, accuracy under stress, and scenario-based instruction that builds real-world capability. My approach reflects a guiding philosophy: accuracy comes first, because precision and control are the foundation of effective defense.

Whether you are seeking to improve your personal protection skills, strengthen your family’s safety plan, or prepare your team for critical incidents, I bring the knowledge, experience, and mindset to help you succeed. I remain committed to the belief that an instructor must also be a lifelong student—constantly refining skills, updating methods, and passing on lessons learned.
