Description
Most crimes are crimes of opportunity — and simple habits can dramatically reduce your chances of becoming a victim.
This seminar teaches practical safety strategies that can be applied in everyday life at home, at work, while traveling, and in public spaces.
Featuring the Refuse to Be a Victim program developed by the National Rifle Association, this class focuses on awareness, prevention, and practical safety strategies rather than physical confrontation.
This is not a gun class, and no physical skills or prior training are required.
Students will learn how criminals commonly select victims, how situational awareness can interrupt that process, and how simple lifestyle habits can significantly reduce risk.
The seminar introduces a wide range of defensive options so participants can choose approaches that fit their lifestyle and comfort level.
This course is particularly valuable for:
- Anyone wanting to gain confidence and improve personal safety
- Anyone interested in personal defense strategies applicable to everyday life
- Armed citizens interested in non-lethal defense options
The class is conducted in a comfortable classroom setting in downtown Summerville, South Carolina.
Following the official RTBAV seminar, the course includes a training module on pre-incident and the defensive use of pepper spray.
