Description

The USCCA AR-15 Fundamentals course includes both classroom and live fire range instruction.  The Level 1 class is designed to cover the safe handling and maintanence of an AR-15, Accessorizing the AR-15, i.e., stocks, grips, magazines, slings, sights & optics.  Once on the range students will learn AR-15 Basics, such as loading, Unloading, & clearing, zeroing the AR-15, mechanical offset, & shooting fundamentals.

Expectations and Outcomes

Students will have gained additional knowledge about the AR-15 platform, how it operates, and what is the best ammunition for the type of shooting they plan to do.  In addition students will have gained the confidence to safely operate their rifle.

Requirements

This class is limited to AR-15 patterned rifles.
Students will need the following:
- Eye and Ear Protection
- Long Pants & Closed Toe Shoes
- Cropped Collared Shirt/Top
- AR-15
- 150 Rounds of Ammunition
- At least two 30 Round Magazines
- Sling, 2pt is preferred
- Weather Appropriate Gear
- Lunch
- Brimmed hat as we will be on the range for 3hrs
- If possible have a 50 yard rough zero
- Pen & Notebook
