Description
It takes as little as 3 to 5 minutes to bleed to death from severe arterial bleeding. The average EMS response time nationally is 7 minutes and 14 minutes in rural areas of the country. The goal of this course is to help you gain the knowledge, confidence and competence needed to recognize, locate, and properly treat life threatening bleeding of loved ones or if you encounter injuries while going about your normal daily activites at home, church, running errands, on the playground or while attending your child's activities.

Expectations and Outcomes
This class is about saving lives. The National Trauma Institute estimates that severe bleeding accounts for more than 35% of pre-hospital visits. During the chaos of a traumatic injury such as severe bleeding you will be better equiped to locate and treat life threatening bleeding. You will also have the knowledge to assemble your own kit to treat ecessive bleeding. This will be accomplished through lecture and scenario based exercises.
