Description
The USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Certified Instructor class provides students with the necesssary credentials to apply to South Carolina SLED and North Carolina DOJ to begin teaching state accepted concealed carry classes.
In addition the course is desgined to allow Certified Instructors to teach mini classes on such toics as Developing a Personal & Home Protection Plan, Self Defense Firearms Basics, Shooting Fundamentals, The Legal Use of Force, Violent Encounters and Their Aftermath, Gear & Gadgets, and Basic & Advanced Skills, all of which can be offered as in person classes or Zoom classes. So, additional sources of potential income through one certification.
USCCA CCHDF Certified instructors can then opt to take additional instructor level courses such as Emergency First Aid Fundamentals, Countering the Mass Shooting Threat in Schools & Churches, Chidren's Firearm Safety Fundamnetals and Women's Firearm Fundamentals, which can be taught in mini class formats and provide additional income opportunities.

Expectations and Outcomes
After successfully completing the class and becoming a USCCA Certified Instructor, you will have the knowledge and have demonstrated the skills necessary to begin your firearms training journey.

Documentation Requirements
- Students enrolled in this course must complete an on-line learning course no less than 72 hours in advance of the in person, 2 day class and provide a copy of the completion certificate from USCCA to the instructor.
- Palmetto Patriot Firearms Training LLC Liability Release.
Requirements
- 100 rounds of ammunition
- Handgun
- Holster
- Eye & Ear Protection
- Long Pants, closed toe shoes, and crew neck type shirt
- Notebook and pen
- Lunch both days
- Beverage
- Gear for inclement weather
- Ability to safely handle your firearm, including loading, unloading, clearing, handling malfunctions, stance, grip, recoil management, sighted and unsighted fire, and presentation from the holster.
- Knowledge of various handguns and their operating systems.
To successfully complete the class each candidate will need to pass a range qualification consisting of 50 rounds from four distances, and pass a written exam.
